My name is Mathieu Filion, and I'm a young man from the Quebec City area, committed to my faith and active in the Catholic Church. After a pilgrimage in Europe, I was inspired to create a deck of cards featuring saints. When I talked about it with Cardinal Gérald Cyprien Lacroix, Archbishop of Quebec, he encouraged me to use the project to promote the saints associated with Canada's history. I took his advice, and got to work with a few brothers and sisters in the faith from across the province. After a lot of research, we contacted Mgr. Serge Poitras, a Canadian specialist in canon law, to make sure no saint was overlooked.
